Thank you to everyone who came out to the bottle drive on Saturday! Together, you raised $1354 for individual student accounts and the band program itself.
On Tuesday, the Sr. Band had an excellent clinic with Dr. Gerald King from UVic. They worked non-stop for over two hours (without a break) and were engaged and musical the entire time! Jazz Band students were treated to an amazing and inspiring performance by the Capilano University Big Band and Vocal Jazz ensembles that visited the school as well. Check out Capilano's Jazz Studies webpage https://www.capilanou.ca/jazz-studies/ if this got you thinking about post secondary music opportunities. :)
