Happy Mothers Day!
Another busy week of performances for students and guests. Thank you to our Spectrum Band students who helped with our 5th annual Grade 6 Band Festival... professional, courteous and a big help to visiting bands. Shoreline, Rockheights, Dunsmuir, Gordon Head, St. Josephs/Margaret & Colquitz were very impressed with you. Bravo! Congrats to the Senior Jazz Band and Jr. Combo for performing at "Music in the Air, Music Everywhere" on Friday. Lots of compliments from passing community members and brought a great deal of musicianship to the stage. Thank you to Carla Cacovic and the Kiwanis club for being on hand to answer questions, hand out pamphlets and sell tshirts for the cause. Finally, so proud of the Spectrum Marching Band Drumline for helping with this years Buccaneers Parade. They lead, along with Reynolds, 236 middle school students from 6 schools in step. It was a beautiful sunny day and they all left an impression on students moving up to high school. Your leadership and poise were epic. Great work! Victoria Day parade is just around the corner and I am very excited! The band sounds good, looks good and are having fun.
