A huge thank you to our Spectrum Band Alumni Parent: Bonnie McCallum and her team for taking the time to make sure our students are prepared for the year! We are always looking for helpers: pin, sew, tape, stitch, sort etc. We would be forever grateful!
Grade 9: Tuesday, September 24th: 6:30pm-8pm
Grade 10-12: Wednesday, September 25th: 6:30pm-8pm
3) Mr. Jolliffe joining the cause
Cops for Cancer 2019 is underway at Spectrum! I am proud to say Spectrum Community School maintains top 5 in the province for donations received. Over the last three years, we have raised over $60,000 to the cause. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Cops for Cancer are used to fund life-saving research and caring support programs like Camp Goodtimes to reduce its impact.
Please consider pledging towards this great cause... if we reach $500, I will also shave my beard... which has been a mainstay since 2008! Spectrum Band Students have create a lovely donation jar available in the band room.
3.) Bottle Drives (#1 is coming up quick!)
As a Spectrum band member, each student is required to participate in a minimum of 2 Bottle Drives. The student take-home doubles when parents drive. 100% of the profits are divided among the students who participate.
