Congratulations to the cast, crew, and orchestra of Mary Poppins! The first two performances were sold out and everyone did an outstanding job! There are still some tickets left for the evening shows (7:30pm) on March 3rd and 5th as well as the sing-a-long (or… “hear-a-long” as someone called it last week!) on March 5th at 2:00pm. All other shows are sold out! Come check this show out if you can! You won’t be disappointed! :)
Concert Bands are currently working on festival repertoire and jazz bands are preparing for gigs. The tour band rehearsals are going very well! We’ll have a great show for our tour to San Francisco in only a few short days.
All students should now have Prestissimo March/Galop and Rock and Roll All Nite in their folders for marching band. Please start memorizing your parts as marching band practices will start up at the end of March! :) We have a gig coming up VERY quickly… April 6th – an opportunity to perform at a special assembly as the NFL will be honouring Spectrum with a Gold Football in recognition of Ed Murray's (Spectrum alumnus) contribution to football. How cool is that!?

5.) "Band English 11 and 12” / Course Selection Forms
For those students taking Band 11 or 12 next year, please select regular English 11 or 12 on your course selection form. The course form states that Band English is “by application only.” This is incorrect. Select regular English 11 and you will be automatically assigned the Band English class for next year. Sorry for the confusion.
That’s it for now! See you around. :)
