Thank you to the Jr. Concert Band for an excellent performance at Hampton Little League - the crowd was very receptive and happy to have us there. :) Thank you for being flexible with changes and for being so organized. Katherine Forster did a wonderful job warming up the band as we were setting up the field. Excellent leadership! A huge thank you to our percussion section and loading crew for being so organized and to all the parent drivers for their help on Sunday! :)

To all of the students and parents that came to sell raffle tickets at Walmart on Saturday - Thank you! We had some good sales thanks to all of you! :)
Here's what we have on the go this week:
1.) Band Classes in Period 1 and 2:
Tuesday – Band 9 in Period 1, Band 11/12 in Period 2.
Wednesday – Band 10 in Period 1.
Thursday – Band 11/12 in Period 2, Band 9 in Period 1. (Shortened classes due to P/T/S Interviews)
Friday (April 1) – Band 9 in Period 1, 11s/12s to English in Period 2.
Grade 9/10 Practice Cards: Continue recording for week 31, turn in week 30 for marking please.
2.) Morning/Lunch/After School Rehearsals:
Tuesday – Sr. Jazz Band at 7:30am, Jr. Jazz Band at Lunch.
Wednesday – Sr. Concert Band at 7:30am, Sr. Jazz Band at Lunch.
Thursday – MARCHING BAND AT 7:30am, Jr. Jazz Band at Lunch.
Friday – Jr. Concert Band at 7:30am, Drumline Section Practice at Lunch (Theatre).
3.) Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews:
Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews willl take place on Thursday, April 21 from 5 to 7:30 pm. The booking system is now open and appointments can be booked until Thursday, April 21st at 12 noon. Please email email@example.com if you would like to book an appointment.
4.) Raffle Ticket Sales:
We still have a number of raffle tickets that need to be returned and a number of booklets that still need to be sold. All tickets and money MUST be in to the band room no later than Thursday AM. If you wish to still sell more booklets come and see me. It is expected that all students sell and return one book of tickets. Parents, please check your backpacks, band folders and instrument cases. Thanks!
SAANICH RAFFLE TICKET BLITZ:
Thursday evening 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Meet at the school at 5:00pm. We will go door-to-door (bottle drive style) in the school neighbourhood to try to sell off any remaining tickets. Please email me if you are interested in volunteering to help with this. Wear your Spectrum-Gear or Band-Wear if you can!
5.) A Touch of New Orleans Night Information - Friday Night!
