Thanks to everyone that came out to our Band Parents Association Meeting on Wednesday. Thanks also to all the students and parents that came to the Bottle Drive on Saturday - you raised $1150! It’s also been great to see and hear so many sectionals happening as well. Some great work and great student leadership, folks. Bravo!
1.) Band Classes
Friday = Band 10 in Period 1 and Band 11/12 in Period 2.
Practice Cards for Band 9/10 = Week 5 this week.
2.) Morning/Lunch/After School Rehearsals
Don’t be late for morning rehearsals please. They start promptly at 7:30am. :)
Pit Orchestra rehearses on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 3:15pm.
Uniform sewing continues this Tuesday and Wednesday in the band room from 6pm – 8pm. We’re almost done! Thanks to everyone that has come out to help sew and alter uniforms. Many uniforms are now available for pick up – check the list on the white board for your name. Drop by the band room on Tuesday evening to pick yours up.
4.) Back in Action Band Concert – Tuesday, November 4th – 7:00pm
Please join us for our annual “Back In Action” Band Concert on November 4th at 7:00pm in the Old Gym (attendance is MANDATORY for all band students). A set-up crew of volunteers is needed to set-up the gym at 3:00pm. All students are required to assist with tear-down after the concert.

5.) Marching Band/Grey Cup
All students should be memorizing the march “Lexington” by Karl L King for our appearance in the CFL Grey Cup Parade on November 29th. A recording can be found at http://spectrumbandvictoria.weebly.com/students.html – Happy practicing! Rehearsals start soon. Please be prepared and know your music.
